Anne’s mother is an accountant and her father a history teacher. She has an older brother, actor Michael Cooke Kendrick.

First Anna performed in Broadway musical “High Society” in August 1998 at the age of twelve years. For this role she was nominated for the “World award theatre”, the award ” Drama Desk Award” and a “Tony Award” and was one of the youngest Actresses to be nominated for this award. Also performed in the musical”A Little Night Music”.

In 2003 she made her debut in the film “Camp” and was nominated for “Independent spirit.” Then she starred in the film “Rocket Science” and although the film received good grades, her performance received very high praise from critics and she was nominated for “Independent Spirit” as best actress. In 2008 she starred in the film “Twilight” based on the novel by Stephenie Meyer.

January 6, 2010 at festival 21st Annual Palm Springs International Film Festival, Anna became a “Rising Star of the year” for her role in the film “Up in the air”. For participation in this film the actress was also nominated for such prestigious awards as the Oscar, Golden globe, Screen Actor Guild Awards and BAFTA.
